Privacy Policy
Entertainment Box (a brand operated by Pro Technologies Limited) takes the protection of confidential information seriously. We store your data securely and process it in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.
This Privacy Policy applies to all Entertainment Box customers, as well as to the services, products and applications we offer through the website entbox.uk
By accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy, the user consents to the automated processing of the personal data provided for the purposes set out herein.
For any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@entbox.uk or by any other convenient means.
1. What information we collect
We collect, use and store the following information about you within the limits set by law, or only with your consent.
Information you provide to us:
- Your name, email address, IP address, postal address and postcode, payment method, phone number and password. We collect this information in various ways – for example, when you enter it while using the website entbox.uk, when you purchase products from us, interact with our customer service, or take part in surveys and marketing campaigns.
- Information that reaches us when you leave reviews or ratings, set preferences or settings in your user account, or provide us with other information through our services or by other means.
- The processing of personal data on the website also occurs if you decide to enter into a contract with us through this website. In this case, the data you provide in the contract (see above) is processed on the website. As a customer, you can log in to your user account using your login and password.
Automatically collected information
We collect information regarding you and your use of our services, your interaction with us or with our advertising, as well as information related to your computer or other devices used to access our website. This information includes:
- Details of your interaction with customer service, for example the date, time and reason for contact, and call and chat logs.
- Your location and information obtained through cookies, tracking tags and other technologies, including your purchase history.
- When entering into a contract, we use your IP address to recognise your repeat visits with a certain probability, and we automatically analyse the data you provide in the contract for signs of fraudulent activity in our online store. In particular, we try to prevent users from providing incorrect user data or third-party data when entering into user contracts.
- From time to time, prize draws are held on our Site. To run a draw, we collect, process and use the personal data you provided when registering for the draw. Each draw is subject to its own terms and conditions and Privacy Policy.
- When subscribing to a newsletter, you are required to provide mandatory data such as an email address. After your registration, we send you an email to the specified address for confirmation. You will receive our newsletters only after you click the link in that email. Your data will be processed only to provide the newsletter.
- If you have consented to receive the newsletter, we process your name, email address and the preferences you have specified for the purpose of sending the newsletter. With your consent, we analyse your behaviour on the website. When studying user behaviour, personalised user profiles linked to your identity and/or email address may be created and used to provide advertising offers tailored to your individual interests.
- If you do not agree to continue receiving the newsletter, you can unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link contained at the bottom of each newsletter.
- For advertising, market research and to meet consumer requests, Entertainment Box uses the Google Analytics tracking system – a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). The operator is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse the use of the website. Information about your use of this site (including your IP address) collected via these cookies is transmitted to and stored on Google servers located in the USA. Google will use this information to analyse your behaviour on the Site, to compile reports on the Site for the Site operator, and to provide further services related to the use of the website and the internet. Where required, Google will transfer this data to third parties if required by law, or if a third party processes data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the use of cookies by changing your web browser settings. However, in that case you may not be able to use all the features provided by our Site to their full extent. By using this Site, you give your Consent to the Processing of Personal Data by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
- We also receive personal data and other online and offline data from our business partners, which may be required in connection with activation, withdrawal or refund/return. We will use such data in compliance with applicable laws and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. How we use the data we collect
We use the information related to you in order to fulfil our contractual obligations, to analyse, manage, improve and personalise our services and marketing activities, to process your registration details, your orders and payments, and to be able to contact you on these matters. This information is used, for example, for the following purposes:
- To detect, identify and prevent potentially illegal activity, including fraud, and to enforce our agreements;
- To analyse and understand our audience in order to improve our service (including the use of the user interface) and to optimise design, content and user recommendations;
- To communicate with you regarding our service (for example, by email or through other interactive online communication channels), to send news, useful information about features and content, special offers, prize draws, promotions and Entertainment Box customer surveys, and to assist with usage matters – for example, password recovery. To learn how to set or change your notification settings, please refer to the “Your Choices” section of this Privacy Policy;
- To operate, develop and optimise the website entbox.uk;
- To respond to your questions and fulfil your requests;
- To create individual and group profiles, and to determine and assess customer behaviour;
- To handle our daily commercial tasks, such as managing the website, providing services, protecting against fraud, and enforcing our reporting obligations;
- To comply, as necessary, with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements;
- To supplement the data we already hold, in order to better understand and identify your interests and provide you with more relevant and appealing services.
Some pages of our website use so-called plugins. When you call up one of the pages of our Site or application pages on which plugins are integrated, a connection is established between your browser and the social network servers. In doing so, information about your IP address and the page of our Site you are visiting is transmitted to the social networks. If you are logged in to a social network during your visit to our Site, the transmitted information is matched to your account on that social network. If you do not agree to the transfer of data to social networks, you should not use the features provided by the relevant plugins.
3. Disclosure of data
We do not transfer your personal data to third parties, except where you have expressly consented to this, and where the law or a judicial/administrative decision obliges us to do so or permits us to do so, in particular:
- Service providers: We use other companies, authorised persons (“service providers”) and executive assistants to provide services on our behalf or to help provide our services to you. For example, we authorise service providers to provide marketing, advertising, communication, infrastructure, logistics and IT services for the purpose of personalising and optimising our service, to process payments by credit card and other means, to provide customer service, to collect debts, to analyse and optimise data (including data on our customers’ interaction with our services), and to conduct and process surveys among our customers. When providing such services, service providers may have access to various data, including data related to your identity. We do not authorise service providers to use and disclose data related to your identity unless it is connected with the provision of their services.
- Promotions: we may offer promotions and programmes together with our partners. In order for you to take part in such promotions, we may need to transfer your name and other data to a third party for this purpose. Please note that third parties are independently responsible for their own data protection measures.
- Protection of Entertainment Box and others: We and our service providers may report or otherwise use data related to your identity where there is a reasonable belief that disclosure is necessary (a) in order to comply with applicable law, regulations, legal processes or requests from authorities; (b) to enforce the applicable terms of use, including investigating potential breaches of those terms; to prevent, suppress, detect or otherwise act against illegal and allegedly illegal activities (including payment fraud), as well as security and technical problems; or (d) to prevent harm to the rights, property or safety of us, users or the public, within the limits established and permitted by law.
- Commercial considerations: We will transfer data, including personal data, in connection with a reorganisation, restructuring, merger, sale or other transfer of assets, provided that the recipient undertakes to handle your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We encourage our business partners to maintain and publish their own privacy policies. Although we transfer personal data to business partners only for the purposes set out above, any further processing and use of the personal data received from us by these partners is carried out in accordance with their own privacy policies and is beyond our control.
4. Your choices
You can manage the type of personal information you provide to us, as well as limit the ways in which we contact you. At the same time, we believe that your experience with our Site and our service will be more personalised if you tell us enough about yourself and your preferences.
Please note that we may need to contact you regarding important operational data related to your user account and your purchases. For example, even if you have opted out of our promotional email messages, we will still send confirmations when you make purchases on the site.
By changing your browser settings, you can decide how your browser handles cookies. In addition, by changing the settings of your mobile device, you can decide how the mobile device and mobile browser transmit data from your devices and data about those devices to us, as well as how your mobile browser handles cookies.
You can also personally manage the information you provide when contacting us via social media platforms or applications.
5. Your rights to information, deletion and blocking
You can view the information you have provided to us in your profile, and update, change, block and delete it by logging in to your account on the website. Keeping your personal information up to date helps ensure that we can take your preferences into account and offer you the most suitable products and services.
In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to:
- request access to any other personal information we hold, with a request to update, change, delete or block it;
- require us to stop further use of any of your personal data that we hold;
- object to the creation of your user profiles.
If you have questions or comments about our data protection practices or this Privacy Policy, or if you wish to exercise any of the rights related to your personal data, including those mentioned above, or if you wish to close your user account, please send your request by email to privacy@entbox.uk
Although we are ready to help you manage subscriptions, close your user account and delete your active profile, we cannot always delete all records of past interactions and transactions. For example, we are obliged to keep records of purchases previously made on the Site in order to comply with financial reporting requirements.
Please refer to the “Your Choices” section of this Privacy Policy for additional information about the choices regarding your data.
We may reject inappropriate requests or requests not provided for by law, including those that are unacceptable to us, require disproportionate technical effort, or expose us to risk, such as trial-period abuse. We are authorised to retain data in accordance with and in order to comply with the law, and to carry out the tasks set out in this Privacy Policy.
You may at any time and without giving reasons exercise your right to opt out by changing or completely withdrawing your consent for the future. You must submit your withdrawal to us in writing by post, email or fax. This does not involve any additional costs.
You also have the right to:
- require us to confirm whether we process personal data related to you and, if so, the right to information about that personal data, including a detailed statement of information in accordance with Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
- request correction of your personal data;
- require us to delete personal data related to you for one of the reasons separately listed in Article 17 GDPR. However, we cannot delete data that we are obliged to retain for the periods established by law. If you wish us never to collect your data again or contact you, we will add the relevant data to a block list;
- withdraw any consent for the future without detriment to you;
- data portability. This means that we provide the data you request in a form that allows you to use this data for similar services of other operators;
- require us to restrict processing where one of the reasons set out in Article 18 GDPR exists;
- object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you on grounds relating to your particular situation. In that case we will no longer process the personal data, except where we can demonstrate compelling grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or where the processing is required for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Article 21 GDPR).
- lodge a complaint, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR.
- You have the right to rectification and/or completion if the personal data concerning you is incorrect or incomplete. In this case we must make the correction without delay. Your right to rectification may be limited where it could significantly impair or render impossible the work with statistics, and where the restriction is necessary to fulfil statistical purposes.
- You have the right, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR.
6. Security of personal data
We take the necessary administrative, logical, physical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, unauthorised access, use and modification. Unfortunately, no measures can guarantee 100% protection. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the complete security of your information.
7. Retention of your personal data
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services and to keep records of your transactions with financial reporting.
We also retain your personal information where necessary to fulfil our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. The GDPR provides that personal data may be stored only for a specific processing purpose and only for as long as is necessary for the corresponding purpose. We retain your personal data for the purposes of performing the service and purchase contract, as well as for commercial and tax reasons, for at least 5 years.
8. Age restrictions
To register on the Entertainment Box website you must be over 18 years of age. In some jurisdictions the age of majority may be over 18. In those cases, you must meet that age in order to register. Persons under the age of 18 may use our services only with the participation, supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
9. Cookies and other technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and other technologies (for example, web beacons) for various reasons. For example, we use such files and other technologies to facilitate access to our services by recognising you when you return; to offer and analyse our services; to learn more about our users and their potential interests; and to adapt and improve our marketing and advertising. We want to make sure you know how we use these technologies.
When visiting our website, cookies may be set. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer’s hard drive that allow your repeat visits to be recognised but do not allow your identity to be established. Cookies are used to offer you the site on a pseudonymous basis and to make your use of the website easier. Web beacons (or so-called tracking pixels) are used for the same purpose. Web beacons are small graphic elements that can be used on web pages to record and analyse the log file and thus to be used for statistical evaluations.
You can prohibit the storage of cookies or confirm that you agree to cookies being set. You can manage the settings yourself using your browser settings. Through these settings you can also delete cookies that have been set. Please note that prohibiting the use of cookies is technically usually implemented by setting an opt-out cookie. As a result, another cookie is stored on your computer that prevents the relevant information from being transmitted to the website operator.
Web beacons (also called clear GIFs or tracking pixels) often work together with cookies. We and our service providers may use them for the same purposes as cookies, for example to understand and improve the use of our service, improve website performance, track the number of visitors and visitor behaviour on our website, and understand interaction with our advertising (including email and internet advertising on third-party sites). Because web beacons often work together with cookies, refusing cookies may in many cases limit the effectiveness of web beacons.
We use other technologies similar to cookies, such as browser storage and plugins (for example, HTML5, IndexedDB and WebSQL). Like cookies, some of these technologies can store small amounts of data on your device. We may use these and other technologies for purposes similar to cookies, for example to enforce our terms of use, prevent fraud and analyse the use of our service. There are several ways to influence these technologies. For example, many popular browsers offer the option to clear browser storage. This feature is usually found in the settings; refer to your browser’s help or support section for more information.
10. Third-party privacy policy
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the collection, processing and use (including disclosure) of data that we collect as a result of your interaction with the Site. Other sites that may be accessible through links from the Site may have their own policies and practices for the collection, processing, use and disclosure of personal information. Our business partners may also have their own privacy policy. We recommend that you review the privacy policy of these parties before providing data to them.
From time to time we will update this privacy policy due to changes in legal, regulatory or operational requirements. Such changes (including their effective dates) will be announced in accordance with the requirements of the law. Your continued use of the Entertainment Box website after the effective date of such updates will signify acceptance of the changes.
